I always go to eat at any Chinese Vege restaurants. Some of my friends (Muslims) don;t dare to eat at those places. I told them it has nothing to do with animals or meat so how can it be non-halal? They said the oil...i told them, a vegetarian or vegan or even a Buddhist vegetarian cannot consume anything that related to animals so means no animal oil involved in it..so it's animal free so it's pork free....some of them are Lacto-vegetarian means they are vege but only consume dairy products suck as milk, eat cheese, egg and other dairy products...that's all and it's still pork free...one thing only concern by them. When a restaurant do serve alcohol then it's consider not halal and that's why TGI Fridays, Sushi King have no HALAL certificates coz they serve alcohol but only halal food...HALAL is not just about the food..it's about the cleanliness too...
